This is Halloween!

I SO LOVE this time of year. Halloween always makes me happy. My wife jokes that we don’t need to shop for me, we just open up a few bins, a suitcase here and there, go in my closet and I have more costumes than most costume shops 🙂 Question is: What are you going to be this Halloween? My family and I are going for the Wizard of OZ theme, photos to come soon. BUT – if you want to WIN A PRIZE tell me what your favorite Halloween Costume of All-Time was, from when you were a kid (even if that means you’re 35 and fav was last year 🙂  If you post a PHOTO of that costume you’ll win an even cooler prize. Trick (or Treat) is this: You must POST your comment on This Blog Post Last year was one of our family’s favorite Halloween costumes of all-time.  Daddy destroyed his beard to be the most horrific looking Bearded Woman ever.  But the rest of the people in the pic made us look pretty cool! Have a great, safe, awesome time this Halloween.  And for all you Dads out there that don’t dress up with your

This Week in Gigville

Goodness me what a crazy past week I’ve had with gigs and travel!  I’m constantly being asked by people what my day is like, or “How busy are you?”, mostly asked with a tinge of doubt that I’m doing enough to get my name out there.  I appreciate the concern, and find it funny, too, because only my family knows how busy life is around here (probably like your life!) It’s awesome to be busy, and when you start to wonder how it all became this way you have to remember “I created all of this crazy”, but it’s also the trial of what your body and mind can really come to handle that is interesting to explore. Last Thursday I started the day with my 4 little ones and Mommy at Disneyland!  Yay~!  Disneyland.  We stood in 3 lines over 3 hours (thanks a ton UEA), did Pirates, Winnie the Pooh, and the third line was the Churro line…. And then I grabbed a cab and headed for the airport to race to Albany, OR, fund raiser for the YMCA.  Connecting through SLC is always odd (because this is where I live), but that’s how it went, and I

I’m Actually A Pretty Serious Guy

This week has been way fun and way exhausting.  We drove the family to San Diego, CA, and enjoyed a few days at the beach, SD Zoo, SeaWorld, hike at Torrey Pines State Park, Church, got kicked out of the Marriott for noise, took a trip to Universal Studios in Hollywood, and Disneyland in Anaheim.  So I believe we are in store for a vacation following the vacation. But let’s get real here: How awesome is that?  To see the little ones running around, having a blast, laughing, riding the rides, screaming as if Beyonce and Jay-Z just showed up when in reality it’s a life-sized Minion.  It’s like something from a perfect novel, the orchestra swells, the Kleenex is drawn, where you just watch your family and say, “My Goodness, Life is Beautiful”!  And the vision is quickly broken by blood curdling screams coming from the back row booster seats…. As I’ve posted more and more blogs and social media updates, worked on my act, and balanced the career and life at home, I am noticing more and more what the public expects of me (and all performers in general), and then the reality of what really is. I’m

My Wife in The Spotlight

A few months ago our office received a request to have me speak at Midvale Middle School.  They had a small amount of money and were going to figure out how to make it happen to have me do an assembly for their school.  We figured it out and set the date. I mentioned in passing to my wife that I would be speaking at Midvale MS, to which she excitedly replied, “That’s where I went to middle school!” I thought I knew my wife better than that!  I should’ve known that’s where she went. And so, we contacted the school back, revoked the invoice, told them they were getting the assembly for their school FOR FREE.  They were thrilled.  Of course, it was in honor of my Tami. In this month of October 2014, we are doing 8 schools for free in the State of Utah.  Next month we have a few as well, and into 2015.  We unfortunately can’t accept all requests, as my goal is to have time to be with family more in 2015 than I have since my career began.  I’ll be doing around 200 events this year, many of them at schools.  In other

Tis The Season for Holiday Bookings!

What a Summer it was!  Crazy busy for me, and probably for you as well.  Thank you to the incredible clients everywhere who had me perform for their wonderful events.   As sad as we are to see a beautiful, warm, lovely Summer go, it is always awesome to feel the new chill in the air in Utah as Fall rolls in.  After an estimated 100 performances during the Summer season, I am excited to announce that October will slow down enough for me to….donate my speech and show to many schools in Utah. I’ll actually be presenting at 8 lucky schools this month as donations to public education and to my further hope to inspire youth everywhere that they too can embrace their “Weirdness” and accept what makes us all different, unique, and one-of-a-kind.  The rest of the time, I will be doing a few corporate and charity gigs, good times! With this in mind, and after 8 years of working on the writing of this effort, I am THRILLED to announce that I actually have finished “Signature Moves: How To Stand Out in a Sit Down World”.  Yes, I blogged about it last week, and I’m mentioning it
