My Gig With Chuck Norris

This past weekend I had the opportunity of actually sharing the stage with legendary martial artist and actor, Chuck Norris.  Yes, that’s the same Chuck Norris who was supposed to be the 5th person added to Mt. Rushmore but the granite wasn’t strong enough to handle the chiseling of his beard…. The convention was for MAX International, a direct selling company who’s products are excellent and who has embraced me as one of their own, as they’ve now had me do 3 of their conventions in the past 4 years as Master of Ceremonies (I really love clients that bring me back year after year 🙂 ), and we put on a heck of an event!   Chuck Norris is obviously a LEGEND.  I love the jokes about him as much as anyone, yet I also respect the man, the myth, the beyond belief hairy guy opposite Bruce Lee in “The Way of the Dragon”. When I heard Chuck would be at the convention, and saw MAX’s promo material inclusive of a 4-story high wall display of Chuck’s famous red beard covering the entire Abravanel Hall in downtown Salt Lake City, UT, I knew I had to do my best

Best of State 2013 Winner

Recently I received the 2013 Best of State award for “Individual Vocalist in the Arts & Entertainment” in the state of Utah.  I am very honored to be recognized by the committee among the many incredibly talented and more deserving singers in this amazing State of ours.  I’m positive had they simply considered only my own singing voice I would have been steamrolled, but luckily I have about 100 of the greatest singing voices of Rock n’ Roll history trying to come out all the time, so I’m assuming that was the deciding factor here. For the Gala I had the chance to present the BOSS Statue to the winner of the entire category, of which I was also a nominee.  In the video posted here you can see the performance I did (they gave me 3 minutes to pack in as many voices as I could), as well as I hope you get a laugh out of the winner being announced and the very long delay before they take the stage, which allowed me time to do more shtick.   This is why I enjoy being an Emcee for events like these – killing time in front of important

Here is a LINK to my WEBSITE: http://jasonhewletttheentertainer.com In the meantime I want you to know that I have added many NEW ACTS TO MY SHOW, so if you haven’t seen me in over a year it may be time to have me return to your event! How Being a Dad and CEO are (pretty much) The Same Thing

Over the past few years my wife and I have had the incredible life-changing blessing of welcoming four children to this earth.  At the same time I have continued to try and run my business from my home, and the balancing act only gets tougher.    I have learned more in 6 years as a father than I have in 11 years as a CEO (I use the word CEO lightly, since we are a small operation around here, but it sounds better than the title of “Owner-Public Relations-HR Director-Janitor-Accountant-Salesman-Secretary-Confused and Dazed Performer/Speaker Barely Staying Afloat”).    How can I better my business by raising a family at the same time?  How can I learn from daily occurrences with my little ones so I can be a better businessman?    Here are a few things I’ve learned so far…FYI, my kids are 6, 4, 3, and 2 months…I literally haven’t slept in 6 years.   –       Open the fresh diaper before you change the wet one…or you will get sprayed due to Lack of Preparation –       Don’t feed the kids too much beef jerky before a camp-out…a onesie full of diarrhea in a tent 100 miles from home and Mommy,
